The most spoken languages of Nepal

1.   Nepali:

Out of many languages of Nepal, Nepali is most spoken. As the national language, it is no doubt Nepali is the most spoken language in Nepal. It is a subset of ‘Eastern Pahari’ an Indo-Aryan language. Previously, it was known as Khas Speech (Khas Kura)

2.   Maithili:

Maithili is the second most spoken language In Nepal, majorly spoken around eastern Terai. More specifically, people in Siraha, Dhanusa, Mahottari, Saptari, etc use this language.

3.   Bhojpuri:

Similarly, the languages of Nepal also have the Bhojpuri language. To explain, people in the Terai region use this language. Apart from Nepal, people speaking Bhojpuri is widely increasing in India.

4.   Tharu:

People in the Terai region use this language. Though Tharu cannot be precisely classified within Indo-Aryan language, it somehow connects(similarities) with another close by languages like Maithili, Bhojpuri, etc.

5.   Tamang:

As the name suggests, Tamang people use this language. Notably, this language is being popular in such a way that it fascinates other people too.

6.   Nepal Bhasa(Newari):

To begin with, the native people of Kathmandu are Newar. Therefore, it has been around for a long time. As a result, many people living in Kathmandu use it.

7.   Bajjika:

Not only Nepal but also Eastern India use this language. To point out, this language is a dialect of the Maithili language. Therefore, people living in Terai mostly use this language.

8.   Magar:

9.   Dotyali/Doteli:
