- Students must have completed the 11th and 12th grades in the Science stream. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 100/100 marks in Physics and Mathematics. They must also have a final grade of ‘C’ in all subjects or a second division for eligibility.
- For PCL (I.Sc.) or equivalent (A-Level):
- Students must have passed the I.Sc. or equivalent examination and/or A-level. Additionally, they must have a minimum of 100/100 marks in Physics and Mathematics. A second division and/or a minimum ‘D’ grade are likewise a must.
- For CTEVT:
- Students must have passed a three-year diploma in Engineering with full marks of 100/100 in Physics and mathematics, respectively. They should score at least a second division.
- For the International Education Institute or International University:
- Students have to submit an equivalence letter from the Curriculum Development Center, Sano Thimi, Bhaktapur.
- Entrance Examination
- Students should score at least 35% in the entrance examination. The Institute of Science and Technology (IoST) at Tribhuvan University (TU) conducts this exam.
For admission, the student must also do as written in the TU notice with all the application steps. The examination is in the form of MCQs, i.e., multiple-choice questions. Students should complete the questions at the given time.

Course Duration for Bachelor in CSIT
The entire Bachelor in CSIT course lasts eight semesters (four academic years) in Nepal.
Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University, will conduct the final examination
at the end of each semester for each course except Project Work and internships. The grade of this final examination is 60% of the overall grade.
